The "Flaming Couch" WVU logo helmet is courtesy of Tony Rice, a fellow traveler from the rec.sport.football.college USENET newsgroup. The helmet was inspired by similar silly designs from The Helmet Project, and I requested a flaming couch helmet for the Mountaineers, in honor of the WVU-Va Tech game in 2003.
